Three-Peat! Winner of The Knot Best of Weddings 3 Years in a Row
So honored and excited to win The Knot Best of Weddings Photographer award for the DFW area for the 3rd year in a row.
The secret recipe to winning is never revealed to us, but I do know it relies heavily on your reviews each year and there is a minimum number of reviews you must receive to even qualify.
Thank you to all my brides, grooms, mother of the bride/groom and bridesmaids that spent their time writing a review for me. It means everything to me!
Let me tell you a story about the 1st time I won the award......and no one told me!
Three years ago, I was looking around Facebook and noticed that some of the vendors I worked with were posting that they won The Knot Best of Weddings award. I saw some were photographers, some were venues, DJs, etc. At the time, I had no idea what that award was, but I was interested to find out. I also wanted to see if I personally knew any of the photographers that won.
Only 2% of wedding photographers win this award.
When I pulled up the list, I scrolled through all the names and on the very last page, guess what I found..... MY NAME. I thought, "This must be a mistake, I haven't been notified."
I contacted someone at The Knot and indeed I had won! For the very 1st time. The contact at The Knot apologized to me that I was not notified by mistake.
Apparently, I was the only winner of the award that year that was NOT a paid advertiser, so they somehow missed contacting me.....
....and then of course, went on to tell me the different ad packages that were available. LOL.
2 years later, I have won 3 years in a row. One more win and I will earn The Knot Hall of Fame award for 4 or more Best of Weddings win.
At the time of this post, I am still not a paid advertiser, but I am so grateful to win this award. And grateful I was notified. Haha.
